This is the approach that makes the competition unfair. having better intel, positioning and skills/tools. This is not always the most glamorous approach, but it will often win the contest.

Set up the stage so that your opponent has to play to your strengths.

This involves but is not limited to preparation. If you have prepared properly, the holes in your game are significantly smaller.

Example -

  • Nature - a spider in its web

  • Military - Higher ground and military intelligence

  • BJJ - pulling guard

Skill - Balance, Patience, Alternatives

Focus - Confidence and location
