Education
Currently, Education has two primary objections, and they are prioritized like this.
Childcare
Education the youth.
Unfortunately, the way we have set up the system, and the ratios of teachers to students. Students will be rewarded more when the child care is easier and focused on authority, hierarchy, and ability to follow. Students are rewarded less for their skepticism, thinking outside the box, and passion that doesn’t align with the state mandated curriculum.
There are some very special teachers out there that will prioritize the education of the students, over the difficulty of their day. But the education system isn’t set up to reward these teachers. It rewards the teachers that have control over their classrooms.
Please don’t miss-hear what I am saying. I think education is the single most valuable and important effort by our government and supported by our tax dollars. But there are limitations.
Make sure as a parent and as a mentor, that you are subsidizing your children’s education. Questioning authority and confrontation are necessary skills, but these things are at odds with educations primary objective.
