Coordination

People often talk about Hand - Eye coordination, but consider building a new skill. That is Imagination body coordination.

It is the skill of visualizing doing something and then actually doing that thing.

It requires three things

  1. Understand the purpose of the movement or action.

    • What are the most important aspects, if it doesn’t make sense it probably won’t work.

    • Are there any tips or tricks, what details will have the greatest effect.

  2. Apply knowledge such as your understanding of balance, leverage, body control, and personal limitations to the action you want to perform.

    • Skills and abilities are transferable.

    • Use the knowledge you already have to visualize success.

  3. Put effort into doing the movement correctly.

    • Don’t half-ass the effort in order to have an excuse for your failure.

    • This doesn’t always work the first try, get up and try again, with alterations based on experience.
