Silenced
I don’t want to discuss whether you like or dislike Donald Trump. I just want to illuminate the fact that there was a turning point in our history when he was removed from social media in the last few days of his presidency. His primary mode of communication was cut off, and communication is a pretty necessary part of being President.
The real problem doesn’t come from the action of the social media companies, the problem arises from the fact that the other side of the aisle supported and encouraged the silencing of the president. What can be done to the right, can and usually is done to the left, and visa versa.
The government should be dealing with its own problems, not give away power that can not be recovered.
Our government now has less power and influence with the people because it’s avenues of communication are able to be constricted by profit driven companies.
