Consider the traits you want in a person that is going to be a supervisor, manager or director.
Do we prioritize someone that is serious and businesslike, or do we want someone that is personable and relaxed. Do we want someone that is consistently stressed by the the important work they are doing, or do we want someone that seems to breeze through all the tasks you give them without breaking a sweat. Do we want someone that has many goals for elaborate improvements, or do we want someone that prioritizes and makes constant progress.
If someone is consistently great, but appears to be gliding through the work day. It doesn’t mean they are lazy, it means they are great, and also enjoyable to work with. Let’s reassess the traits and qualities that make someone an effective leader, and promote those those that we want to be lead by and work with.
