Give up, or get out!

There are many benefits to being an employee. The work is consistent, the pay is too. There are standardized benefits, and there are people hired to do all of the things you don’t know how to, or don’t want to do.

There is a cost for consistency and easy work. The cost is that you are expected to do a task within the process that someone else devised, You are being paid to show up when you say you will, and do the tasks you have agreed to, for the compensation that was discussed.

You are however expected not to set a new vision for the company and improve all of the processes, unless you are the director. You are definitely not being paid to go over and above. Doing extra actually causes extra work for the supervision and management.. So give up on your dreams of improving whatever corporation you work for, and just do a good job at what you said you would.

If you cannot be a cog in a machine, get out.

Give up, or get out!
