Diagnosing
Finding the solution to a problem is good. It is often not that difficult, because there are many solutions to most problems. Each person can bring their individual strengths and interests to create an answer.
Finding the problem is often not as easy. You may find a symptom of the true problem, but diagnosing the cause is difficult. Finding the problem requires you to understand the system, how it is supposed to work, and what is not working correctly.
If you start to push solutions without finding the problem, you often spend much more money, time, and often cause more issues.
