Comparison

Comparison tries to define and solidify what a thing is. Therefore comparison does not focus on change and progress.

Competition on the other hand, assumes that change and progress have occurred. Therefore there needs to be another competition to test who has the better set of strategies and judgments and actions.

To say that a thing or person is better or worse does not allow for improvement, it just judges the outcome of the last competition.
