Age of the Universe

Our Solar System formed from a dense cloud of space dust (atoms of different weight) about 4.5 billion years ago.

I also hear claims that the Universe is only 13.7 billion years old, meaning the atoms trapped in our solar system have been there for more about a third of the total time since the big bang.

The space dust was all created in stars that went super nova and spread the atoms throughout the universe.

Pretty evenly distributed.

I don’t buy it that our universe is so young.
